Christina Vilaboa-Abel was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where she graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and History, specializing in National Security Studies. Christina continued her studies at her alma mater and proudly attended Florida International University College of Law, where she graduated with a Juris Doctorate. During her time at F.I.U. College of Law, Christina gained experience in the areas of real estate law and comparative law by way of clerking at Legal Services of Greater Miami and helping lower income families get the legal help they need in landlord-tenant and mortgage foreclosure matters, and working as research assistant to Dr. Manuel A. Gomez, Associate Dean for International and Graduates Studies & Associate Professor of Law.

Throughout her legal career Christina has acquired diverse experience in the areas of real estate and bankruptcy. She has held previous employment at large firms where she has guided clients through litigation of complex mortgage foreclosures in state court and appellate courts, the  mortgage modification process, and helped clients get the “fresh start” they need in chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcies. Through this practice Christina has helped many clients navigate the recent economic downturn and real estate crisis by helping clients modify their mortgages, restructure their debts, and gain “financial empowerment” once again.

Christina is admitted to practice in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She is a member of The Florida Bar, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Bankruptcy Bar Association, and Business Networking International, and is Vice President of the BNI Celebration Chapter.
